A woman shared her shock upon arriving at her hotel room in New York City to find that the only window opened directly into a restaurant.

Desiree Baker booked the room at Cassa, a hotel near Times Square, through Airbnb, believing she had found a good deal in the middle of Manhattan.

The photos on the booking site showed a room with a city view.

It wasn’t until she woke up the next morning and opened the blinds that she realized the room overlooked Tempura, the hotel’s restaurant, with the closest table within a foot.

The restaurant wall is lined with mirrors, which are actually bedroom windows.
