Pierogi, golumbki sale planned
There will be a pierogi and golumbki sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 2 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 3 at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 324 Moore Ave., Herkimer.
Pierogi with potato and cheese or potato and sauerkraut sell for $ 7 a dozen. Fresh golumbki sell for $ 26 a dozen; $ 13 for a half-dozen or three pieces for $ 6.50. All fully cooked.
Masks are mandatory as well as social distancing.
The library sets the summer hours and plans the sale
Summer hours will be in effect from July 6 to September 3 at the Public Library of Poland.
The hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. Roadside service is available by leaving a message at 315-826-3112, making a reservation in the Mid-York catalog, or leaving a request at [email protected].
A lawn sale with many books, housewares and toys will take place during library opening hours every day except Wednesday. Donations of household items and toys are welcome, but the library does not accept books or clothing at this time.
County IDA Board of Directors meets on July 7
the Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency The Board of Directors will meet at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7 in the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce Boardroom at 420 E. German St., Herkimer.

The meeting scheduled for June 29 was canceled due to lack of quorum and postponed to July 7.
The council organizes the summer meetings
The Mohawk Village Board of Directors has announced the schedule for its summer meetings. Meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 20 and 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, at the Municipal Building, 28 Columbia St., Mohawk.
Police and firefighters meet
The Little Falls Police and Fire Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 12 in the Mayor’s Conference Room at Town Hall. The invoice audit will take place at 6.30 p.m.
Planned leisure meeting
The Little Falls Recreation Commission will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13 in the Mayor’s Conference Room at Town Hall.
The library has summer programs
Children between the ages of 2 and 12 can register now for the Imagine Your Story summer reading program at the Polish Public Library, 8849 N. Main St., Poland. Each child can choose a gift at the end of the summer.
Children’s craft programs will be offered between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. every Thursday from July 15 to August 12. Discovering Elves will be a welcome program between 11 and 3 Tuesday, August 3 for children from 2 to 11 years old. avec les sirènes is a drop-in program between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, for children aged 2 to 11.
The Zoomobile will visit at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18. All ages are welcome.

Tourism, Canal Harbor meeting set
The Little Falls Tourism Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 15 in the Mayor’s Conference Room at Town Hall. A meeting of the Canal Port Commission will follow at 9am.
Meeting set for urban renewal
A Little Falls Urban Renewal meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 21 at 8 a.m. in the Mayor’s Conference Room at Town Hall.
Golf Commission to meet
The Little Falls Golf Commission will meet at 8:00 am at the town’s municipal golf course.
