Go Round FC players and coaches resume at the Krisdera Hotel Stadium in Omoku as eleven players have yet to show up.
Team coach Ngozi Elechi said on Saturday morning the players returned to camp last Friday, but eleven of them, absent without permission before the Christmas break, have still not shown up.
He gave the names of players like Chinoye Chinda, John Chizoba Uwandu and Anibor Emmanuel.
The others are Victor Wohuruche, Victor Echendu, Anderson Pere, Golden Douye Anaalabiri, Orji Madukwe, Ekene Daniel Chukuladi, Abdulahi Sodiq and Esiada Omonigho.
Elechi said he had yet to hear from the players on their fate but had information they could be in talks with other clubs while still under contract with Go Round FC.
Meanwhile, club general manager Soni Uboh has charged returning players with good behavior as preparations continue for the new season.
Uboh said players need to understand what it takes to play for Go Round FC, pride, unity and the fact that this is a club run and funded by a passionate football fan, who will give their all to make sure they are. ‘they are reaching great heights.
“The team’s financier, Felix Obuah, has given everything to this team for over twenty years and it won’t stop now. The players know how he passionately rewards them for success. They have to go because promotion is the goal, ”Uboh said.
The Nigerian National League kicks off on February 11, 2022 as Go Round FC play a game in Lagos against Ottasolo FC.
