Ireland Music Weeka announced the 50 artists who will appear in the live showcase events taking place at Dublin venues The Workman’s Club, The Grand Social and Lost Lane on October 6th and 7th.
Angela Dorgan, CEO of First Music Contact, adds “Having successfully kept Irish Music Week and our star artists on the international calendar during two years of lockdown, we are more than delighted to see the range of spectacular talent who will fill the halls of our venue on October 6th and 7th. Year after year, Ireland produces world-renowned musical talent in incredibly diverse genres and we are honored to introduce them to local audiences and international delegates, who will help them develop their professional careers.”
The 50 acts were chosen from over 500 applicants and feature a wide range of genres from folk to hip hop and post-punk. There is also a 50-50 gender split within the roster. This year’s event will also feature three international artists Directed by Canada, Sunna Margrét from Iceland and Misia Furtak from Poland. See the full list of successful applicants below.
