In all Central and Eastern European countries (Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Romania), the desire to travel has increased to more than 90% in 2021, according to the business daily Világgazdaság.
Individually arranged domestic travel increased from 7% to 18%.
The type of preferred accommodation has also changed.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, more and more people are looking for private and separate apartments and guesthouses instead of hotels.
Despite rising accommodation prices, global inflation, and war in the neighborhood, tourism is resuming an increasing trajectory in the region.
