Murwab Hotel Group participated in Qatar Sustainability Week (QSW) 2022, organized by Earthna from October 8 to 15, according to a statement from Katara Hospitality.
This year, all Murwab properties have implemented various sustainability initiatives at their respective properties, supporting Earthna’s goal of over 400 sustainability activities.
Sealine Beach, a Murwab Resort, has implemented several responsible business practices such as the installation of electric car charging stations and double-glazed windows for accommodation units aimed at reducing carbon footprint, conserving the energy and water resources.
The resort also held beach clean-up and sapling planting activities, which were attended by resort employees and guests during QSW.
The Avenue, a Murwab hotel, has set up a recycling initiative, offering scooters and e-bikes to guests and employees as a mode of transportation as well as distributing reusable take-out cups made of eco-friendly materials at all staff, with the aim of eliminating the use of disposable plastic cups.
Simaisma, a Murwab Resort, has participated in energy and water saving initiatives as well as the installation of an electric car charging station to encourage the community to protect the environment for the future generation.
Jouri, a Murwab hotel, has introduced smart water management practices for all employees and guests, the statement added.
