One of the Northwest’s most popular hotels has closed most facilities due to Covid-19


Lough Erne Resort has closed several of its facilities due to the number of local Covid-19 cases.

However, some elements of the popular resort will remain open.

General Manager Joanne Walsh said: “Lough Erne Resort has made the difficult decision to take a short break due to the increasing level of Covid-19 cases in the locality for the benefit of our guests, staff and of the local community.

“We will continue to keep you informed of developments and hope you all stay safe in these unprecedented times.

“We would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to welcoming you back to Lough Erne Resort when we wake up on Wednesday 5th January.

The resort’s reservation service will remain open for telephone and e-mail communications throughout the temporary closure. Reservations can also be made through the resort’s website

With immediate effect, all restaurants and The Thai Spa are temporarily closed to non-residents.

The resort’s accommodation, restaurants and Thai spa will be temporarily closed to all residents starting at noon on Thursday, December 30.

Wedding guests:
The resort will be open to wedding guests only on Thursday December 30 and Friday December 31.

All golf facilities at Lough Erne Resort will remain open, including Faldo Course, Castle Hume Golf Club, Golf Shop, Driving Range and Golf Academy. Drinks will be available at Castle Hume Club House.
Loughside Grill will be open to members only on December 31 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Ms Walsh said: “Due to the current volume of incoming calls, we kindly ask you to wait for our phone call.

“If you have booked the resort for a hotel stay, spa experience, dinner or celebration for an arrival until Wednesday January 5th, our reservations team will get back to you as soon as possible.”
