VOD.PL has established itself as the benchmark platform for super-aggregation of online video content in Poland.
With the latest update, the service offers consumers an intuitive guide to content scattered across different streaming apps. The super-aggregation feature is powered by the Redge Media OTT platform, which manages metadata from all the different sources.
The platform now provides a guide showing what content is available from other OTT providers. The initial launch of the “What to Watch” feature will feature content from HBO GO, Player.pl, Polsat Box, Filmbox+, Netflix, Onet Video, Prime Video, with other providers included over time. In the future, the “What to Watch” guide will provide an automated recommendation engine, editorials and social media features. It is the first platform that offers super-aggregation features in Poland, improving user experience and OTT content discovery.
Along with this novelty, VOD.PL has implemented live television with catch-up. From this month, users have access to channels such as BBC Lifestyle and AMC, with a pricing model of three different packages.
Commenting on the development, Przemys?aw Frasunek, Member of the Board of Directors of Redge Technologies, said, “The VOD.PL super-aggregation feature is based on the Redge Media platform as a further enhancement of the video service. . Given the diverse and numerous VOD services, the role of OTT content aggregator is becoming increasingly important. Our platform supports these roles and the business scenarios that come with them.
