A guest slammed into a Preston hotel after finding “blood” on a comforter and “mold” in the room he stayed in.

They stayed at the Lea Gate Hotel on Blackpool Road for two nights in August.

However, they said if they hadn’t already paid for the room, they wouldn’t have stayed two nights.

This is due to claims that they discovered that one of the quilts was covered in what looked like “bloodstains” – although this has not been confirmed.

However, they complimented the restaurant in the building – saying it was “good” and the food was “cheap and cheerful”.

In the two star review, they wrote: “We had stayed here when it was a Premier Inn with no problems.

“We arrived in a dirty and damp room. The bathroom door does not even close and the main room smells of damp. The bathroom has a moldy shower with no water pressure in the cold shower and very slippery.

“One of the quilts was covered in what looked like bloodstains. The receptionist was lovely but the room itself was gross.
