Qatar Airways partners with Neighbor Airlines to fly football fans to the 2022 World Cup



Qatar Airways has partnered with flydubai, Kuwait Airways, Oman Air and Saudia to provide matchday shuttle flights for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The services, which will be operated throughout the tournament, will offer fans the opportunity to have a hands-on day. trip to Doha to see their teams play.

Fans traveling by shuttle service on match day will arrive in Doha in the morning and depart in the evening. Without hotel accommodation, it is an economical way to attend a game.

Matchday shuttle flights will be available from Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh. Flights will operate to and from Doha’s award-winning Hamad International Airport, which was recently recognized by Skytrax as the World’s Best Airport 2021.


Flights will be carried-on baggage only, which will provide a quick and easy experience for passengers. Once in Doha, passengers will benefit from dedicated connections between the airport and the stadiums, and will also have time to explore the city.

The game day shuttle schedule

Flight schedules have not yet been released, however, Qatar Airways has announced that subject to government approvals, the following number of flights will be offered:

  • flydubai – 30 daily return flights from/to Dubai
  • Kuwait Airways – 10 daily return flights from/to Kuwait City
  • Air of Oman – 24 daily return flights from/to Muscat
  • Saudi Arabia – 20 daily return flights to/from Riyadh and Jeddah

According to Qatar Airways, Match Day Shuttle services will soon be available for booking on the airline’s website.

Formalize the partnership

The agreement was formalized with the signing of a memorandum of understanding at a press conference in Doha on May 29. Representatives of Qatar Airways and the four partner airlines were present.
