Qatar 2022: England team to stay in hotel near camel riding club

It will be love at first sight for the England stars when they realize there is a camel riding business – right outside their World Cup hotel.

Captain Harry Kane and his teammates will view the camels from their rooms every day of the tournament.

Four camels are kept parked in a fenced paddock on the beach and are used to give rides to the children.

Tomorrow, boss Gareth Southgate will find out the Three Lions’ group stage opponents in the draw here in Qatar.

It is a 22-minute metro ride from the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center, where the draw takes place, to Al Wakra town.

This is where Southgate has chosen to have its headquarters for the tournament which begins in November.

The hotel and its surroundings are completely dry – alcohol is prohibited.

At the restaurant, there is a series of non-alcoholic “mocktails” including the “Sparkling Sunshine” and the “Moonlight Beach”.

Their most popular is the ‘All Roads Lead to Al Wakra’ which has milk, espresso, white chocolate, cherry syrup and cardamom syrup which still costs you £7.50.

Locals are delighted England are staying but have warned fans not to get drunk on black market booze.

Businessman Fahad al Shamlan, 50, speaking in the nearby souk, told the Mirror: “We are very excited and very proud that England have chosen to stay here.

“The team and the supporters will be very well received.

“But make sure England fans don’t drink too much!”

The hotel will be unlike anything players – or WAGS visitors – have ever seen before.

The Souq al Wakra by Tivoli hotel is located on a busy public beach.

There is a children’s play area located on the sand and right next to it there is a ladies-only gym.

Locals expressed surprise that Gareth Southgate chose this mansion over his rivals in other parts of Qatar.

Security will be difficult and there is noise from planes landing at nearby Hamad International Airport.

It’s right next to an extremely busy souk.

There are dozens of restaurants and cafes dotted along the seafront promenade.
